WHAT WE DO

Safe Haven Effort has been helping young people in London since 2007. We focus on their mental well-being and provide access to critical services, including housing, healthcare, legal help, job training, and employment opportunities.

Your donations make a real difference for disadvantaged young people, helping them improve their lives. We sincerely thank you for your support.

Our apprenticeship program in our workshop trains many young individuals, giving them skills for jobs that are in high demand but often lack qualified candidates. Through our dedicated efforts at Safe Haven Effort, we engage young people in positive activities, providing them with essential skills for the job market.

Today, we are confronted with several challenges, including the threat of war, government budget cuts, and rising living costs. These factors make it increasingly difficult to address the root causes of poverty. Your generous donation can help tackle some of the critical issues we face, particularly the growing number of vulnerable pregnant women and teenage mothers in our country, which is currently the focus of our project.

Over the past 20 years, the population in London has tripled, making it harder for young families to access support services. This situation, combined with the current economic climate, has created significant challenges for many young people trying to make ends meet. That includes young pregnant women and teenage mothers who are facing significant challenges that can lead to anxiety, substance abuse, and mental health issues. At the same time, the economic divide between the haves and have-nots continues to widen.

When a young girl becomes pregnant, whether by choice or due to unforeseen circumstances, the need for support is critical. With the right assistance, we can create a brighter future for our society, because how we raise our children today will ultimately shape their future. The adversities faced by single, pregnant, or teenage mothers have been intensifying over time. This issue permeates families across the nation on a daily basis. Delaying action risks precipitating a more substantial crisis, which would be both challenging and costly to resolve.

There exists sufficient wealth globally to address the fundamental causes of poverty. Our initiatives prioritize aiding young people in distress, focusing particularly on alleviating the hardships experienced by single, pregnant, and teenage mothers living in poverty.

The manner in which we raise children today will undoubtedly shape society in the future. In pursuit of this goal, Safe Haven Effort has established a community center dedicated to supporting single, struggling pregnant individuals and teenage mothers. We'd appreciate your help spreading love, compassion, support, and care for these individuals.

Furthermore, the community center serves as a venue for teenage mothers to unwind over tea, socialize, address their challenges, form friendships, and participate in activities offered by the center with their children. As a charitable initiative, we depend on public donations to sustain our efforts in supporting those who face challenges in raising children at a young age.

In this fast-changing world with many challenges including potential wars, government cut-backs, high cost of living, etc, may contribute to factors standing in the way of progress in fighting the root causes of poverty in our society. While catching up with the pace of this fast-changing world, we must not neglect or forget the significance of other priorities, such as the sharp rise in vulnerable Pregnant/Teenage Mothers up and down the country. Over two decades, the population of London alone tripplled, making access to support facilities more complicated and extremely difficult, a situation compounded by the curent economic environment, which is not favorable to many young families struggling to live their daily lives. Every support from you proceeds to Safe Haven Effort for the work we do with young people in London city.

It is a slow-burning social problem with serious shortcomings, already tipping many young people off the edge, causing them anxiety, drug abuse, mental illness, etc. Meanwhile, the economic divide between the haves and have-nots continue to grow wide r, making our work more challenging.

Whether by choice or by understandable slip a young girl finds herself pregnant and becomes a Teenage Mother, and for what ever reason finds herself struggling alone must be supported. When they recieve proper care and support, we can count on our future as a functional nation because what we sow we reap.

This issue of lone struggling Pregnant/Teenage Mothers has been festering longer than we are now realising it. It is happening every day in many families up and down the country.

If we wait until it escalates out of control before we do something, we are more likely to end up with a catastrophic social disaster, difficult, more expensive to manage and contain.

There’s plenty of wealth in the world that we can use to fight the root causes of poverty wherever it is neutralized. The fight starts with you helping someone next to you in distress. It is a dangerous, difficult, unfortunate situation to be in, and we must direct our efforts toward relieving the plight of lone, struggling Pregnant/Teenage Mothers living in abject poverty.

How we bring up and care for our children today determines the outcome of our society tomorrow.

As charity begins at home, Safe Haven Effort has opened a Community Center to take care of lone struggling pregnant/Teenage Mothers who may need our support.

At this Community Center, we are now trying our endeavor best to save from closure, we provide pregnant/Teenage Mothers with care, counseling, housing, legal matters, job training/employment and social entertainments.

If you are a Pregnant/Teenage Mother and want to participate in our focus group to talk about Mothers & babies, etc, please contact us for more information.

The Community Center is also where Teenage Mothers put up their feet - relax with a cup of tea, socialize, share ltheir problems, make friends, and occaissionally be entertained along with their children.

As a charity-based project, we rely on public donations to continue to best serve vulnerable beneficiaries of your donation who are struggling daily to raise children at a very young age. Activities at the Community Center include, Entertainment programs, Baby Shower, Birthdays, Job Trauning, Speakers for young families, Learning English, and Children’s parties.
